Leaving on a Jet Plane

My dad probably played this song when I was 10 years old. Peter, Paul and Mary made it a hit in 1969. Sally Barker's voice and my guitar tuned to C G D G C D transported it to another planet. The 'feel' is based on a percussive riff I'm playing on the lower bout of the guitar imitating a bass and snare drum pattern. From there, the song evolved into this arrangement.
